Resetting a gravestone or monument addresses quite literally the foundation of a marker's preservation. Our extensive experience has taught us the good and the bad of previously performed stone settings. Early gravestones remained level and plumb for decades or sometimes even centuries. We have refined these early stone setting methods to add important drainage and increase stability. Nearly 100 years ago concrete became a favorite material for gravestone foundations. These tend to shift within a few decades and often time cause the entire gravestone or monument to lean heavily and even to tip over. This can be very dangerous for visitors and cause severe injuries or death and signifiicant damage to the gravestone. We use methods that are time proven to reduce shifting of stones and address other issues at the same time.

Handling historic gravestones takes great care and precision. We therefore use a remote controlled mini crane to ensure safe and accurate resetting without adding extra costs to your project.
